Dan and I really enjoyed the sun yesterday. And by that I mean we took really long breaks in sunny places where we could lay out and eat and be warm.
We also didn't do very much mileage. I think like ten.
We actually lost Niko and Liane!
Remarkably they had phone service and so did we, camped way up on Dick's Pass. Turns out they were only four or five miles ahead of us. We could finally make good use of the eastern light we would get in morning that we had so longed for on this trip.
We woke up around 8:00 and snoozed til 8:30. Not exactly productive.
We made up for it by taking short breaks, keeping good pace and doing about twenty miles to Barker Pass.
Liane and Niko must have been feeling good, because we still didn't catch them.
We intend to get up early tomorrow.
Well see. :)
We cowboy camped last night and we will again tonight. Right now it's 9:48pm and its hovering around 38 degrees. That's not bad.
The full moon has been so bright it illuminates our camp like a flashlight and wakes us up at night.
Talk about a night light.
I've started to forget what day of the week it is.
Now it's really starting to feel like I'm on trail.
